‘Westworld’ Season 2 Spoilers: Ben Barnes Confirms Return Of Logan
Several well-loved characters will be back in “Westworld” Season 2, but for the longest time, fans were unsure whether they’d see the arrogant Logan (Ben Barnes) return.
He was last seen riding naked on a horse while all tied up for being such a jerk to his soon-to-be brother-in-law, William (Jimmi Simpson). Many presumed the ride would kill him, but a good many others believed it was not the end of Logan.
Now, Barnes has confirmed with Screen Rant that he is going to reprise his role. “I definitely have heard because I can tell you that I have been on set at least once already,” he said.
This statement was quite the turnaround from the earlier one he provided to W Magazine. Back then, Barnes refused to dish out any spoilers regarding Logan’s return.
“This is the problem about working for HBO and Marvel: you talk about it on pain of death,” Barnes said. “As far as I know, I’m finished with ‘Westworld’, and as far as I know, we’ve wrapped on season one, and I don’t know what's happening after that. And that’s all I’m allowed to say.”
Meanwhile, his co-star Simpson earlier assured fans that Logan isn’t dead. William’s punishment for Logan - having him ride off into the sunset with nothing on him - simply made Logan know who is finally ready to take on the reins of the family business.
“[William's] going to send him off, he’ll get lost in the park, and it's just one more thing [Logan] has done that's not top-tier while they were on their stay,” Simpson told Business Insider.
At the same time, making a fool out of Logan will give William the edge in taking over the family business. “It’s just one more bit of evidence [William] can go to [Logan’s] father with and say ‘Look, let’s just be honest with each other: He can stay on, he can stick around on the letterhead, but you know I’ll run the company and it will be very successful for this reason and this reason,” Simpson continued.
“Westworld” Season 2 premieres on HBO in 2018.
