Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN and now will lose his severance from the news network, along with his recent book deal. What will Cuomo be left with after multiple career slams?

The 50-year-old’s career as a lawyer and a journalist has led him to a net worth of $12 million, with an annual salary of $6 million from CNN, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Cuomo will have to deal with many financial losses after the extent of his involvement with his brother Andrew Cuomo’s sexual misconduct allegations.

“We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately. While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate," a statement from CNN said on Saturday morning, announcing Cuomo's termination from the network.

As more information comes to light, Cuomo faces more extensive repercussions. CNN President Jeff Zucker informed employees Tuesday morning that Cuomo will not be paid a severance or any other compensation remaining on his contract, The New York Times reported.

A book deal for the title “Deep Denial” was set for Cuomo with HarperCollins, and was set to be released in the fall of 2022. A spokesperson for the publisher bluntly told The Daily Beast on Tuesday, “We do not intend to publish the book.”

HarperCollins described the book as “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America — about our strength and our character — and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.”

He also decided to step down from his SiriusXM radio show.
