What Do ‘Teen Mom 2’ Stars Do For A Living? Their Real Jobs Revealed
The cast of “Teen Mom 2” doesn’t completely rely on MTV to bring in their paychecks. The stars of the second “16 and Pregnant” spinoff series also have other jobs.
While it is unclear at this time what newcomer Briana DeJesus does for work, from writing to partnering with other companies and 9 to 5 jobs, find out what Kail Lowry, Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer real jobs are when they’re not filming.
Kail Lowry
Kail is a mom of three (well, almost) and she has a degree. However, it isn’t clear if she’s putting it to good use just yet. The “Teen Mom 2” star graduated from Delaware State University in May with her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, but it looks likes she’s currently spending her time filming for the MTV series and writing.
Kail currently hosts a blog on her website and she also has two memoirs and one children’s book under her belt. Her most recent title, “Hustle and Heart,” debuted in November 2016.
Like other reality stars, Kail also appears to take on sponsorship deals on social media. She recently posted ads for Fab Fit Fun, Teami Blends Tea, Hairburst and many, many more brands.

Jenelle Evans
Like Kail, Jenelle also posts sponsored content on social media and spends her time putting thoughts to paper. The mother of three is due to release her memoir “Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom” on July 25. J
Jenelle isn’t just promoting her upcoming memoir, which is co-written by Tonia Brown, on social media, though. She’s planning to host an online book signing following the title’s release. Jenelle has also taken a page out of Kim Kardashian’s book and now offers her own emojis on her JEmonji app.
Elsewhere in her life, Jenelle is dedicated to planning her upcoming wedding with David Eason. Earlier this month, the pair revealed they will be tying the knot on Sept. 23.

Chelsea DeBoer
Chelsea has never kept her off-camera job a secret from “Teen Mom 2” fans. Several seasons ago, she graduated from aesthetician school on camera, and for years, the mother of two has worked at a local day spa.
Like her co-stars, Chelsea isn’t opposed to posting sponsored social media posts. She most recently promoted Fab Fit Fun on Instagram with the help of her daughter Aubree.
Leah Messer
This season on “Teen Mom 2” Leah will take a big step in her education by going back to college but that doesn’t mean she’s put business on the back burner.
It appears Leah recently starting hosting some speaking engagements. In June, she announced she would be speaking at an inspiration event in Greenville, South Carolina. “Come hang with Leah Messer for the afternoon. She will be sharing how she has overcome challenges, lessons learned along the way and keys to success,” touted the ad.
In May, Leah also revealed she and a friend, Alison Boho, would be hosting “pop up SeneGence” training. SeneGence is a network marketing company that sells personal care products through independent sales. Leah has also been working as a distributor for the non-smudge lipstick line Lipsense.
Like other TV stars, Leah is also now on YouTube. When she has time off from filming “Teen Mom 2,” Leah posts videos of her day-to-day life on her channel, Leah Messer. Her account currently has just under 10K subscribers.
“Teen Mom 2” returns with an all-new season Monday at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
