What Encouraged Kelly Osbourne To Go To Rehab? Singer Opens Up
Kelly Osbourne revealed what encouraged her to go back to rehab and how it changed her life. The 37-year-old singer revealed that her 2021 appearance on the "Red Table Talk" talk show encouraged her to go back to rehab and get clean.
Osbourne returned to the show for Wednesday's episode and thanked Pinkett Smith and Norris for helping her out.
"I just want to tell you both, coming on this show the last time helped me in my life so much -- it's going to make me cry — because I got honest because I felt safe," Osbourne said, as reported by ETonline. "And from there, I decided to go back to treatment, and it changed my life in every way."
The singer went on to share that now all her "dreams have come true" and thanked both the hosts. "I really mean that," she added. "Whoo!!! Sorry, I know I'm really hormonal."
Osbourne, who debuted her baby bump on the show, is expecting her first baby with musician boyfriend Sid Wilson.
"I don't know what it is about you ladies but you allow a safe space for someone to come in and just lay it all out," Osbourne explained. "And I did that and it was like therapy. It changed everything. Because I was like, 'I wanna be the person I was on Red Table every day, and I did it."
Norris shared the clip from the show Wednesday on Instagram.
During the interview, the singer also confirmed that she will not breastfeed her baby and instead, she will choose to stay on medication.
"I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family [is wild]," she said.
Explaining her decision to continue medication, Osbourne said, "I'm like, 'Don't you think I know that? What kind of mother am I gonna be if I start going backwards, if I start being self-destructive?"
The "One Word" singer went on to say that she "can't pay attention" to everyone's opinion, and chooses to believe that her decisions have to be what's best for her and what's going to be best for her baby.
