Krispy Kreme is headed to the Big Apple with a new flagship store that will be situated in Times Square and open on Tuesday.

The company is opening the New York City-based location on the corner of Broadway and West 48th Street. The new 4,500 square foot store will serve hot doughnuts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The store will also have its own glazed waterfall, stadium-style seating that has been placed inside a life-like Krispy Kreme dozens box, and what the company claims is the world’s largest Hot Light at 15 feet tall light with a weight of 8,000 pounds, WXII, an NBC affiliate out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, reported.

To commemorate its opening, Krispy Kreme will also have the cast members from the Broadway show, “Chicago” on hand to welcome customers into its stores, WXII said. Krispy Kreme will also provide a total doughnut experience for customers, giving a glimpse into the doughnut-making process. It will be serving up its hot and fresh Original Glazed Doughnuts in-store and at a street-side pickup window that is also open 24 hours a day.

To ensure that customers remain safe during the pandemic, Krispy Kreme is allowing for reservations to keep the store’s capacity within state and local coronavirus guidelines. New York City has begun to reopen restaurant dining rooms with a series of safety measures and capacity limits in place. Krispy Kreme had originally planned to open the flagship shop in May, which was delayed due to the coronavirus, Time Out reported.

As a special welcome to New York City, Krispy Kreme has created a special doughnut that is deserving of the Big Apple. The special doughnut has a Red Delicious apple flavor, Kreme filling, and is dipped in a “sweet, shiny, red shimmer mirror glaze.” Royal icing tops off the doughnut delight, and a green leaf and lightly-salted pretzel stem complete the treat.
