What To Expect From The Upcoming Google Pixel 4 Smartphone
New demo videos about the upcoming Google Pixel 4 have just surfaced this week. The more detailed demo videos showcased the handset’s two significant features, the revamped version of Google's digital assistant and the new Soli-powered Motion Sense gesture control system.
The Mountain View-based company has already confirmed those two big features in their previous press release. But the tech giant has stopped providing more detailed information about those features. Thankfully, the guys from the tech website 9to5Google have managed to get a copy of what appears to be as the official marketing videos for the upcoming Google Pixel 4 smartphone.
The tech giant created two sets of marketing videos, showing the new Motion Sense gestures system in action as well as the more advanced and faster Google Assistant. In the first set of Pixel 4 demo videos, the videos showed how the handset’s touchless gesture control system will perform in the wild. In the video, Google demoed how easy to use the newly added Motion Sense gesture control system. By waving hand above the phone, the user can silence phone calls, snooze alarm, and skip songs.
There’s no need to learn and master several gestures; instead, Pixel owners will only need to learn one gesture. The Motion Sense will be powered by Project Soli, a part of the ongoing effort of Google’s ATAP division that works with new sensing and miniature radar technologies.
In the second set of marketing videos, Google demoed the next-generation Google Assistant, offering an enhanced experience. The new digital assistant platform will be much faster and more capable than the previous one. It now can process multiple requests, one after another. The video even showed a great sample of how the Google Assistant will perform. In the marketing video, a person asked the digital assistant about the time their flight will take, and then the person told the digital assistant to send the time of flight via text message.
The tech giant is expected to introduce the Pixel 4 on October 15. In addition to the Pixel 4 handset, Google also plans to introduce a new Pixelbook, a new pair of Google buds, and a Nest-branded Google Home Mini
