What Kate Middleton Really Meant When She Said ‘Broody,’ According To Expert
Kate Middleton recently sparked pregnancy rumors after she said that she was feeling broody after seeing an adorable baby during a walkabout in Northern Ireland.
After the Duchess of Cambridge’s comment made headlines and royal fans were convinced that this was her way of hinting that she and Prince William were already trying for baby number four. However, Nicola Harrison, a vocal educator teaching at Pembroke College, Oxford, told Express that Middleton might have meant something else with her comment.
“Expressions like ‘feeling broody’ are often bandied about in this situation – my impression is that the phrase trips off Kate’s tongue almost as a reflex, a compliment to the charm of my baby, a light laugh,” she said.
Harrison added that the comment might have simply been a light remark than an insight into Kate’s family planning.
“I don’t hear broodiness in her tone, I here humor and a compliment to a beautiful baby. The throwaway comment about William as she moves off is sassy, and scotches any speculation that she might be wanting another baby – to the delighted amusement of the crowd,” she said.
As of late, Middleton has not yet announced a possible fourth pregnancy. Last month, a spokesperson for bookmakers.tv told The Sun that the odds of Middleton and Prince William announcing another pregnancy have taken another plunge.
“The latest betting definitely suggests there could be an announcement around the corner and when it comes, bookies should brace themselves for the biggest royal betting frenzy of all time,” the spokesperson told Express.
During Middleton’s trip to Leicester University, she told royal fans that it was such a special time to have all kids. She also said that she’s looking forward for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to have a cousin.
Middleton and Prince William just welcomed their youngest child on April 23, 2018. Prince George was born in 2013 and Princess Charlotte was born in 2015.
