What Is Wes Anderson's New Movie About? 'French Dispatch' Trailer Release Date Revealed

Wes Anderson is back with a new feature-length, live-action film, his first since his Oscar-nominated movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel” in 2014.

According to the colorfully illustrated movie poster that Searchlight Pictures released on Tuesday, the film is titled “The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun.” Like many of his films, Anderson directed and penned the project, which is also known as “The French Dispatch.” He wrote the story alongside Jason Schwartzman, Roman Coppola, and Hugo Guinness, The Wrap reported.

Not much has been revealed about the movie, according to Collider, but what we do know is that it will detail a collection of stories from a 20th century American magazine published in a fictional French city.

The star-studded cast includes some of Anderon's frequent collaborators, such as Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Willem Dafoe, Elisabeth Moss, Timothee Chalamet, and Saoirse Ronan.

The film won't debut in theaters until July 24, 2020, though fans of Anderson's can expect to see some footage very soon. The first trailer for “The French Dispatch” will be released online on Wednesday.
