What Will Meghan Markle Wear To Her, Prince Harry’s Wedding Next Year?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially engaged, and the couple’s wedding is set to take place in the spring.
Markle has also showed off the engagement ring Prince Harry gave to her earlier this month. Now, their supporters are curious about the wedding gown she will wear to her special day.
Taking into consideration Markle’s fashion style, British bridal designer Suzanne Neville is predicting that the actress’ wedding gown will be “chic.” “I think Meghan will choose an effortlessly chic gown with clean lines and minimal detail. I think the dress will be elegant and traditional, but with a modern twist,” she told People.
Markle previously named her favorite wedding dress designers, which included Elie Saab and J. Mendel. When asked what celebrity wedding dress she fancied the most, the “Suits” alum said that it’s Carolyn Bessette’s wedding gown when she married John F. Kennedy Jr. The dress was designed by Narciso Rodriguez, according to US Weekly.
If it were up to Markle, Neville is speculating that the actress would go for a more fitted gown. But since it will be a royal wedding, Markle may wear a full skirt that’s similar to Kate Middleton. “I think Meghan will finish off the look with a stunning satin trimmed cathedral length veil and a diamond tiara,” she said.
In 2011, Middleton wore a wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen. The Duchess of Cambridge topped her look with an ivory silk tulle veil that was designed with hand-embroidered flowers. On top of her head was a Cartier “halo” tiara that was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth II.
Markle could also take inspiration from her Rachel Zane character from “Suits,” who also wore a wedding gown during her union to Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). The couple is expected to tie the knot sometime in Season 7, according to Metro UK.
As of late, Markle and Prince Harry have not yet chosen the designer of her dress and his suit. But details about what they will wear to the wedding will most likely be shared to the public in the coming weeks or months.
