Chris Evans is hanging up the shield. “Avengers: Endgame” seemed to wrap up his Captain America storyline, but that’s not the last time audiences will see Evans on the big screen. He has plenty of gigs lined up.

“Red Sea Diving Resort” — This thriller is based on a true story. Evans’ character is part of a team of Israeli spies who are smuggling persecuted Ethiopian Jews in Sudan. The resort was opened to actual tourists, which helped cover their operation to bring the refugees to Israel. Netflix will release the movie on July 31.

“Knives Out” — This murder mystery is directed by Rian Johnson (“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”). When a famous author (Christopher Plummer) dies during a reunion with his extended family, his relatives become suspects. Evans plays Plummer’s spoiled, foul-mouthed grandson. Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Katherine Langford, Ana de Armas and LaKeith Stanfield round out the all-star cast. The movie hits theaters Nov. 27.

“Defending Jacob” — This limited series will debut on Apple. The eight-episode season follows Andy Barber, an assistant district attorney who investigates the murder of a 14-year-old boy. He quickly discovers his teenage son is a suspect. The show doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but he has been spotted filming in Massachusetts alongside “Downton Abbey” alum Michelle Dockery.

It seems like the 38-year-old has plenty to keep him busy in his post-Marvel career. However, Evans seems to expect that he’ll be Captain America for the rest of his life in the eyes of some people.

“If what comes with that is this kind of inseparable connection with the role, I’m proud,” Evans told the crowd at ACE Comic Con in Seattle over the weekend. “If you told me I could never make another movie again, and this is all I got, I’d be fine with it because to me this is really, really special.”

He laughed and added that he is still looking for other jobs, though. “All that being said, look, I’m obviously looking to do stuff beyond the role, but at the end of the day, I really look at it as a real blessing.”
