‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 4 Synopsis, Preview Trailer
Originally set to air on March 17, “When Calls the Heart” is finally premiering Season 6, episode 4, titled “Heart of a Mountie,” on Sunday night.
It’s been a long two months without the show for Hearties after the network decided to drop Lori Loughlin (Abigail) from the series because of her connection with the college admissions scandal and pull the show from the schedule in order to retool it without her.
While the former “Garage Sale Mysteries” actress won’t be in Sunday’s episode and beyond, there will be, like the episode title suggests, a new character for fans to meet. Kevin McGarry joins the “When Calls the Heart” cast as a new Mountie named Nathan Grant.
In March, International Business Times exclusively premiered a clip of Mountie Nathan from Sunday’s episode, and now fans will finally get to see more of him. Keep reading to find out exactly what to expect from the show when it returns.
“Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is confronted by memories when a new Mountie comes to Hope Valley,” the synopsis reveals of the episode, which was written by Annie Brunner and directed by Martin Wood. “Bill (Jack Wagner) reluctantly teams up with the Mountie – Nathan Grant – to investigate a robbery, and both men suspect that there is more to the crime than meets the eye.”
The synopsis continues: “Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) buys a telephone and Lee (Kavan Smith) worries this new technology will contribute to his wife’s gossipy tendencies. Meanwhile, Jesse’s (Aren Buchholz) jealousy of Clara’s (Eva Bourne) boss reaches a boiling point.”
Though the synopsis shares a lot, it doesn’t answer some of the big questions fans have: How does the show plan on addressing Loughlin’s absence? What will it mean for the character of Abigail?
It seems Hallmark Channel simply wants Hearties to tune in on Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT when “When Calls the Heart” returns to find out.
