'When I Think Of Christmas' Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "When I Think of Christmas." The film, starring Shenae Grimes-Beech and Niall Matter, premieres Sunday night.
The film will be a treat for fans, as some may recognize Grimes-Beech, who starred in the network's film "Christmas Incorporated," but is otherwise new to the network. She is best known for other roles, such as Darcy Edwards on "Degrassi: The Next Generation" and Annie Wilson on "90210."
Fans are certainly more familiar with Matter, who is a bit of a Hallmark staple. His roles have included the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries," "Marrying Father Christmas" and "Engaging Father Christmas." On Hallmark Channel, his titles include "Frozen in Love," "Love at First Dance," "Christmas Pen Pals," "Christmas at Dollywood," "Country at Heart," "Never Kiss A Man in a Christmas Sweater" and "A Christmas Together With You."
Beth Broderick ("Christmas Town") also stars.
So what can fans expect from the film? Let's find out.
"Sara Thompson (Grimes-Beech) returns to her hometown just before Christmas to help her mother Anna (Broderick), who is downsizing from their family home to move into a condo," a synopsis reads. "Sara is surprised to find her ex-boyfriend Josh Hartman (Matter) is back in town from Nashville and will be producing the annual Christmas concert."
Seeing Josh is a surprise because Sara walked away from their planned life together as musicians to study law, but she soon finds herself thrust into working with him on the new project—and forming a new bond that might just cement a new plan for the future together.
"At Anna's urging, Sara helps Josh with auditions to accompany the hopefuls on piano. Slowly, the old flames reconnect and try to heal wounds, both old and new," the synopsis continues. "When Sara discovers the music and lyrics for a song written long ago by her late father, she and Josh forge a bold plan for the upcoming Christmas concert that will lead them all back to their musical roots and make this a holiday to remember."
"When I Think of Christmas" premieres Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
