When Will ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Season 2 Premiere On CBS?
“Celebrity Big Brother” will return to CBS for its second season on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019.
Just like the first season, the hit reality show will only be on air for approximately three weeks. The finale is expected to air on the network on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
New episodes of “Celebrity Big Brother” will air every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This is one more episode compared to the regular season of “Big Brother,” which typically airs on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Majority of the episodes of “Celebrity Big Brother” Season 2 will start at 8 p.m. EST and will end at 9 p.m. EST. But on Feb. 9 and 7, the show will air from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST. On Feb. 8, there will be a two-hour special episode, but it is still unclear what will be shown.
On Feb. 11 and 13, “Celebrity Big Brother” will air from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST.
As of late, it is still unclear who will be cast on the show, but there have been speculations on who will make the cut next year. One Twitter user posted three colorful emojis hinting at a possible houseguest. It features a rainbow emoji, a lipstick, and a red stiletto. However, CBS has not confirmed whether or not the hints are accurate.
Last year’s group of houseguests proved to be a huge hit among “Big Brother” fans. Prior to last year’s premiere, host Julie Chen said that the fate of “Celebrity Big Brother” depends on the ratings that the first season will receive. And now that Season 2 has been confirmed, it means that the first season proved to be profitable for the network.
The houseguests from Season 1 were Ross Matthews, Omarosa Manigault, Brandi Glanville, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Mark McGrath, James Maslow, Shannon Elizabeth, Ariadna Gutierrez, Metta World Peace, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Chuck Liddell.
Winokur was named as the winner of “Celebrity Big Brother” Season 1, and Matthews was her runner-up. This year’s winner will also receive $250,000, while the runner-up will bring home $50,000. The winner in the regular season of “Big Brother” typically receives $500,000, while the runner-up receives $50,000.
