When Will ‘Shameless’ Season 10 Release On Netflix?
Some “Shameless” fans like to watch each season on Netflix, and those viewers will have to wait a while for Season 10. The Showtime dramedy won’t hit the streaming service for several months.
“Shameless” Season 10 doesn’t have a specific Netflix release date, but there’s plenty of information to make an educated guess. First, we know that Showtime has a deal with Netflix where they get to keep their shows exclusive to the premium cable network for several months. Assuming that deal, first reported in 2018, is still in effect, that means “Shameless” Season 10 won’t hit Netflix until much closer to when next season is starting.
Last year, “Shameless” Season 9 wrapped up in March and it released on Netflix in September, two months before the new season premiered. In 2018, it wrapped up in January and hit the streaming service in July, about a month and a half before the new season premiered.
Assuming that Showtime sticks to that window, fans can assume that late July or early August would be the earliest that “Shameless” Season 10 will start streaming on Netflix. This article will be updated when Netflix confirms the release date.
Of course, that’s not the only way to see the latest batch of episodes. Anyone who has a Showtime add-on with their Amazon Prime or Hulu account can also stream the series.
Every episode of “Shameless” is also streaming on Showtime Anytime. The standalone service has a free 7-day trial for new users, more than enough to watch all 12 episodes of Season 10. The episodes can also be bought via iTunes, Amazon and YouTube.
This is the Gallaghers’ penultimate season. Next year’s Season 11 will be their final run. Emmy Rossum is expected (though not confirmed) to return for the last episodes. The star left the show last year, and Season 10 was the first without a single Fiona sighting. Fans will have to wait and see if she returns for the series finale.
Even without Fiona, there was plenty of drama in “Shameless” Season 10 with the return of Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher), who figure out how to make their romance work beyond prison. Meanwhile, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) becomes a dad, Debbie (Emma Kenney) gets an older love interest, and Liam (Christian Isaiah) learns about his heritage. And Frank (William H. Macy), well…he’s still Frank.
