Where Are The 33 Stores J.C. Penney (JCP) Is Closing?
J.C. Penney Company Inc. (NYSE:JCP) announced Wednesday it is closing 33 stores across the U.S, slashing 2,000 jobs, to focus its resources on the best opportunities for profit.
J.C. Penney estimates the closings will save the company $65 million.
Five stores will close in Wisconsin, the home state of J.C. Penney's competitor Kohl's. Pennsylvania follows with three, and several others states will have two store closings, including Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Montana and Virginia. No store closures are planned in Texas, J.C. Penney's home state.

7. Muscatine, Ill., at Muscatine Mall
8.Bloomingdale, Ill., at Stratford Square Mall
9. Forsyth, Ill., at Hickory Point Mall
10. Marion, Ind., at Five Points Mall
11. Warsaw, Md., at Marketplace Shopping Center
12. Salisbury, Mich., at The Centre at Salisbury
13. Marquette, Minn., at Westwood Plaza
14. Worthington, Miss., at Northland Mall
