Where To Watch Golden Globe-Nominated TV Shows: ‘Fleabag,’ ‘Morning Show,’ ‘Fosse/Verdon’
The 77th annual Golden Globes happen Sunday, and viewers will likely be adding a few more shows to their binge-watching lists right after. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has nominated a slew of great shows, and they’re all easy to stream.
Best Drama Series
- “Big Little Lies” — If you somehow missed this star-studded hit when the first season scooped up all its Golden Globes, you can catch both seasons on HBOGo, HBONow or HBO OnDemand. Nicole Kidman is nominated in the best dramatic actress category while Meryl Streep is in the supporting actress competition.
- “The Crown” — The cast changed this year, but the location did not. All three seasons of the royal drama are streaming on Netflix. Star Olivia Colman is nominated for best dramatic actress and Tobias Menzies is up for best dramatic actor. Meanwhile, Princess Margaret actress Helena Bonham-Carter is up for best supporting actress at the 2020 Golden Globes.
- “Killing Eve” — BBC America’s critical darling about a government agent and an assassin is streaming on Hulu. Jodie Comer is up for best dramatic actress. Her co-star Sandra Oh won the statue last year.
- “The Morning Show” — Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston’s return to the small screen is streaming only on Apple TV+. They play anchors of a morning show where the male co-host was accused of sexual misconduct. Both leading ladies are nominated in the best dramatic actress category as well.
- “Succession” — The satirical HBO show about the family drama behind a fictional international media conglomerate is only available on HBO platforms HBO Go or HBO Now. Brian Cox is nominated for best dramatic actor while Kiernan Culkin is up for best supporting actor.
Best Comedy or Musical Series
- “Barry” — It’s an HBO show, so that means the Bill Hader and Henry Winkler assassin series is only on HBOGo, HBONow or HBO OnDemand. Hader is up for best actor in a comedy while Winkler is nominated for the supporting actor Golden Globe.
- “Fleabag” — Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s acclaimed TV series about a woman who is a bit of a mess is only streaming on Amazon Prime. Waller-Bridge is up for best comedic actress for the titular role while Hot Priest actor Andrew Scott is nominated for best supporting actor.
- “The Kominsky Method”— An acting coach and his agent (Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin) face life in their twilight years in this comedy, which is exclusive to Netflix. Douglas is nominated for best comedic actor (which he won last year) while Arkin is nominated in the supporting actor category.
- “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” — The series about a 1950s housewife becoming a standup comedian has been an awards show darling, and it’s only on Amazon Prime. Rachel Brosnahan is up for best comedic actress, the category she won in both 2018 and 2019.
- “The Politician” — Ryan Murphy’s first series for Netflix is set to follow a man (Ben Platt) through the most important elections in his life leading to his presidential run. The first season follows his high school class president election and is exclusive to the streaming platform. Platt is nominated for best actor in a comedy.
Best TV Movie Or Miniseries
- “Catch-22” — George Clooney’s adaptation of Joseph Heller’s satirical war novel is only on Hulu. Star Christopher Abbott is nominated for best actor in a TV movie or miniseries.
- “Chernobyl” — The intense limited series about the devastating nuclear accident is only available on HBO platforms. Jared Harris is nominated for best actor in a TV movie or miniseries. The Golden Globes have also nominated Stellan Skarsgard for best supporting actor and Emily Watson for best supporting actress.
- “Fosse/Verdon” — Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams play the real-life couple of director-choreographer Bob Fosse and actress-dancer Gwen Verdon. The drama is an FX series, but it can be streamed on Hulu or FX Now. Rockwell is up for best actor in a TV movie or miniseries while Williams is vying for best actress in a TV movie or miniseries.
- “The Loudest Voice” — The series about Roger Ailes was a Showtime original, so it’s available on Showtime Anytime, but it’s also streaming on platforms like YouTubeTV and SlingTV. Russell Crowe is nominated for best actor in a TV movie or miniseries.
- “Unbelievable” — The heart-wrenching limited series, based on the true story of a rape victim who is charged with making a false accusation, is a Netflix original. Both Merritt Wever and Kaitlyn Dever are up for best actress in a TV movie or miniseries. Toni Collette is up for best supporting actress.
Other TV Nominees
- “The Act” — Based on the true story of a daughter who kills her abusive mother, the eight-episode limited series is only on Hulu. Actress Joey King is up for best actress in a TV movie or limited series and Patricia Arquette is nominated for best supporting actress.
- “Catherine the Great” — Best actress in a TV movie or miniseries nominee Helen Mirren stars in this historical drama, which is only available on HBO platforms like HBO Go and HBO Now.
- “Dead to Me” — The Netflix series about women who meet while at a support group is only available on the streaming platform. Christina Applegate is nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy.
- “Game of Thrones” — Watch all eight seasons on HBO platforms. Kit Harrington is nominated for best dramatic actor.
- “Living With Yourself” — The sci-fi comedy about a man who is cloned is exclusive to Netflix. Paul Rudd is nominated for best actor in a comedy.
- “Mr. Robot” — The dramatic computer hacker series on USA Network is available to stream on USA’s website as well as subscription services like YouTubeTV and SlingTV. Rami Malek is up for best actor in a drama.
- “On Becoming A God In Central Florida” — The Showtime series about a woman who rises up in a pyramid scheme is available to watch on Showtime Anytime or subscription services like YouTubeTV and SlingTV. Kirsten Dunst is up for best actress in a drama.
- “Pose” — The second season of the FX series about the ball community in 1980s New York is available to stream on FX Now (only the first is available on Netflix). Pray Tell actor Billy Porter is nominated for best actor in a drama.
- “Ramy” — The comedy about growing up as a first-generation Egyptian-American is only on Hulu. Titular star Ramy Youssef is up for best actor in a comedy.
- “Russian Doll” — The series about a woman who keeps reliving the day where she dies is only available to watch on Netflix. Star Natasha Lyonne is nominated for best comedic actress.
