Which ‘Amazing Race’ Season 31 Team Will Win $1 Million Prize?
As “The Amazing Race” heads into the final legs of Season 31 and sends teams to London before bringing them back to the U.S., someone else will have to fall and miss out on the chance to win 41 Million.
Spoiler Alert: The Ending Of Seasons 31, Episode 10, ‘Chugga Chugga, Choo Choo!” is discussed below.
The most recent leg of the race led to a heart-breaking elimination for Team Fun after the final Double U-Turn of the season was brought out in Kampen, The Netherlands. After The Afghanimals decided to get revenge on Victor and Nicole for naming them during the U-Turn Vote in Switzerland, the only non-“Race” team left in the competition felt forced to also send Becca and Floyd back in an effort to save themselves. After Team Fun then failed to complete their second Detour correctly and had to re-do the task, they were unable to make up the time difference, which saw them hit the mat last and their race come to an end.
Now, all four remaining teams have both huge strengths that can give them an edge in the competition, but also some weaknesses. One also needs to fall prior to the race heading back to the United States, and two others after that will find themselves unable to cross the finish line first. So how will the final two legs play out, and which team seems most likely to win the $1 million? Here’s our prediction for how the final legs will go:
Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo (#TeamBigBrother): 4th Place
Unfortunately for the sole remaining players who have not previously competed on “Amazing Race,” their journey will likely come to an end in London. Of the remaining competitors, they are in the worst position to start, having arrived at the Pit Stop in 4th place during the last leg. In addition, the other teams they’re up against have all finished first more than once, proving they are all strong competitors. Considering how strong they are and the fact that they all have “Race” experience, it seems likely that Victor and Nicole will just miss the final leg.
Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran (#TeamAfghanimals): 3rd Place
Just making it to the final leg will be a big change for the Afghanimals, who only made it to 4th place during their last two appearances on the show. However, their “First to Worst, Worst to first” struggles that have plagued them all race are likely going to see them just miss out on the Million dollar prize this time around. The two have been making a lot of mistakes in recent legs, including missing marked boats they needed to find and going into the canals the wrong way in Kampen. They had a chance to finish first when they arrived at the task, and their mistakes caused them to then fall behind two other teams and finish in third. That same luck will follow them into the final leg, and they will likely be the last of the three to hit the finish line.
Colin Guinn and Christie Woods (#TeamZen): 2nd Place
Watching Colin and Christie’s transformation since Season 5 has been huge and they have the best record by far all season when it comes to finishes, never falling below 4th, and even coming in third after they were U-Turned, proving they might be unstoppable. It will be a very close finish between them and Tyler and Korey, but in the end, it feels like the YouTube stars will just edge them out and claim the victory.
Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl (#TeamTylerandKorey): WINNERS
This time around, Tyler and Korey are going to be able to call themselves winners of “The Amazing Race.” Though it will be a close race between them and Colin and Christie, who are also exceptionally strong competitors, in the end, these two have been on a streak that shows how hard they are to beat, They seem most likely to win at this point, though it could be a close second place finish as well.
“The Amazing Race” Season 31 finale airs Wednesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. EDT.
