Which Celebrities Will Be Featured In Katy Perry’s ‘Swish Swish’ Music Video?
Katy Perry just announced the arrival of the official music video for her song, “Swish Swish.”
On her Twitter account, the award-winning singer shared a teaser from the music video which showed Perry wearing a Tigers basketball uniform as the team’s captain. The clip also confirmed the appearance of Nicki Minaj. Other celebrities who were given roles in the “hottest mess in history” include Molly Shannon as the coach of Tigers, Terry Crews as the coach of Sheep team, Thor Bjornsson as the Sheep’s captain and “Glee” star Jenna Ushkowitz.
The “Swish Swish” music video, which is set in a gym, will also feature a cameo from “Stranger Things” star Gaten Matarazzo, “The Internet” actress Christine Sydelko, Bill Walton and Rich Eisen. Toward the end of the teaser, it was announced that more celebrities have been tapped to make cameos in the “Swish Swish” video, which will be released sometime this week.
According to US Weekly, this is not the first time that Perry will be working with other celebrities in one of her music videos. In 2011, the “Dark Horse” singer worked with “Glee” star Darren Criss, Rebecca Black, Kevin McHale and Kenny G for her “Friday Night” music video.
Meanwhile, Perry will be kicking off her “Witness” tour on Sept. 19 in Montreal. Originally, the tour was supposed to begin on Sept. 7 in Ohio, but due to some production issues, it has been moved back. The singer will be joined by Noah Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen and Purity Ring. Other details about Perry’s “Witness” tour are available on her official website.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, 31-year-old singer Jepsen expressed her excitement over working with the “Roar” singer. “Her people called my people. It was nice and I’ve obviously known her throughout the years and we get along great. So it’ll be a lot of fun, I’m sure,” she said.
However, Jepsen said that she was unaware of the schedule change for the upcoming “Witness” tour. The “Call Me Maybe” singer is set to perform as Perry’s front act from Jan. 1 to Feb. 5, 2018.
