Whitney Houston Estate Posts Bobbi Kristina Brown Update On 22nd Birthday; Nick Gordon Tweets Message
Whitney Houston’s estate posted an update on Bobbi Kristina Brown on Wednesday, the aspiring singer’s 22nd birthday. The daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Houston was born on March 4, 1993. She remains hospitalized in a medically induced coma after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home on Jan. 31.
Patricia Houston, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt and president of the Whitney Houston estate, used the news section of WhitneyHouston.com to update fans. This is the first message that the Whitney Houston estate has issued on Bobbi Kristina since the third anniversary of Houston's death on Feb. 11.
“Today is Bobbi Kristina’s 22nd birthday and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life,” Pat Houston wrote.
Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, took to Twitter to post his own birthday note. “Happy Birthday baby,” Gordon tweeted Wednesday morning. “I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side.”
Gordon is reportedly “banned” from visiting Bobbi Kristina at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. The 25-year-old, who was initially believed to be her husband, is suspected of “foul play” after suspicious injuries were found on his girlfriend. According to TMZ, the young couple has a “history of violence.”
Gordon has denied any involvement in Bobbi Kristina’s hospitalization, and has placed blame on other family members, like her father. He has used social media as an outlet to beg the Brown and Houston families to let Bobbi Kristina “hear his voice and wake up.” Recently he posted that he “forgives” Bobby Brown.
His latest message for his girlfriend comes after a string of alarming tweets on Tuesday night. According to his account, he tried to sneak into the hospital to visit with Bobbi Kristina. He later posted, “I am so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to stay strong.”
