Who Is On ‘Busy Tonight’ This Week?
Busy Philipps is heading into the third week of her late-night show, “Busy Tonight,” and she’ll welcome plenty of comedic guests. This is her lineup for the week of Nov. 11:
On Sunday, “Busy Tonight” will welcome Tina Fey. It was only a matter of time before the “SNL” veteran showed up. After all, she’s producing Philipps’ talk show. The two will be chatting about the People’s Choice Awards, which air live right before “Busy Tonight.” The chat show will also go live to discuss the awards show. Because of the PCAs, “Busy Tonight”’ will be pushed back to 11 p.m. EST.
Fey and Philipps will even hand out another People’s Choice Award together for the best revival show of 2018. E! has promised that the winner will be on the set to accept the statue live. The nominees include “American Idol,” “Dynasty,” “Queer Eye,” “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” and “One Day at a Time.”
Tom Lenk will also be on Sunday’s show. The “Buffy” alum has amassed a following on Instagram by recreating red carpet looks with just household items. He’ll judge the “Busy Tonight” team as they try to recreate the best looks from the People’s Choice Awards.
On Monday, E! puts the show back in its usual timeslot at 10 p.m. EST. The “Dawson’s Creek” alum will welcome a star from the latest teen TV obsession, “Riverdale.” Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica on The CW hit, will sit down with Busy. She’ll likely tease what’s coming up on Wednesday’s episode, which will show Veronica’s dangerous plan to break Archie (K.J. Apa) out of juvie.
Fey isn’t the only “Saturday Night Live” alum visiting “Busy Tonight” this week. Tuesday will bring Taran Killam to the couch. The actor will be promoting his new sitcom, “Single Parents.” He plays Will, a single dad who recently started dating.
Finally, Philipps will welcome Tess Holliday on Wednesday. The plus-size model is a founder of Eff Your Beauty Standards, an online community designed to promote body positivity.
“Busy Tonight” typically airs Sunday through Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on E!. Sunday’s special post-People’s Choice Awards episode will air at 11 p.m. EST.
