Who Is Erica Mena? Bow Wow Proposes To Model After 6 Months Of Dating

Rapper Bow Wow is off the market. The 27-year-old, whose real name is Shad Moss, proposed to girlfriend Erica Mena over the weekend. He posted a photo of her ring on Instagram Sunday, and no caption was needed.

Bow Wow began dating Mena just six months ago, shortly after they kissed during the show 106 & Park, which he co-hosts. Mena confirmed the engagement when asked at the BET Awards red carpet event in Atlanta if the two were an official couple. “Uhh…he’s actually my fiancé,” the 26-year-old model and “Love & Hip Hop New York” star told E! Mena most recently dated fellow model Cyn Santana and they had a storyline together on the most reason season of the VH1 reality show. But she hinted that their relationship may have all been for the cameras.

“Maybe her intentions were fake,” Mena told GlobalGrind earlier this month. “That puts a lot of things into perspective. People aren’t who you think they are. For me, I’ve never been afraid to go after what I want. I think I was too much for her. She’s very young. It’s very easy to influence her.”

In addition to being a model and cast member of LHHNY, Mena is also an author, after releasing a tell-all memoir in 2013.

The new season of “Love and Hip Hop New York” will air in November, so it is likely Bow Wow will also be a part of the show alongside Mena.
