Who Is FKA Twigs? Meet Robert Pattinson’s New Girlfriend Tahliah Barnett

Bad news, Robsten fans. Robert Pattinson has apparently found himself a new leading lady in alternative singer FKA twigs. One year after splitting from Stewart, his onscreen “Twilight" love interest turned off-screen girlfriend of three years, Pattinson is rumored to be officially dating the "Two Weeks" performer.

After Pattinson and Tahliah Barnett's (whose stage name is FKA, or "formerly known as," twigs) were spotted at the Bowery Hotel in New York City last week, multiple reports are now confirming the film star and the singer are officially an item. “It’s early [on] but they’re having fun,” an insider close to Pattinson told Us Weekly Tuesday. According to insiders, Barnett, 26, is smitten with the British film star after just a few weeks of dating. “Tahliah thinks he is unbelievably handsome,” said a source.

Barnett, a newly emerging recording artist and Pattinson, 28, who lent his vocals to the 2008 “Twilight” movie soundtrack, reportedly bonded over their love for music. The couple is said to have met through mutual friends.

While Barnett may not be a household name like Stewart, she is reportedly well on her way to superstardom. Barnett, also a UK native, released her first studio album LP1 last month. Not only did she sing on the critically acclaimed R&B/electronic record, she also reportedly served as her own music producer and video director. Before beginning her solo music career, she worked as a backup dancer for singers Kylie Mingoue, Ed Sheeran and Taio Cruz.

Despite being linked to one of Hollywood’s most famous men, Barnett is dead set on not being known as just “Robert Pattinson’s girlfriend,” sources told InTouch Weekly. “The main thing for Tahliah is that the relationship is low key,” said an insider. Pattinson’s new lover is also allegedly not enthused with the idea of being compared to the actor’s 24-year-old ex. “[She’s] worried about being bogged down by the constant comparisons to Kristen,” said a source.

Pattinson, who has been linked to his longtime pal, singer Katy Perry, and model Imogen Kerr in recent months, last spoke out about his love life to Esquire magazine in July. “It’s just young people… it’s normal. And honestly, who gives a s—t?” the actor said of his torrid split from Stewart in 2013.
