Who Is Joe Alwyn? Taylor Swift Ready To Make Debut With Boyfriend
While Taylor Swift is known for her high profile relationships with A-list stars like Tom Hiddleston, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal and Calvin Harris, just to name a few, it seemed like the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer was all about keeping her most recent relationship with boyfriend Joe Alwyn a secret. However, new reports suggest that the pop sensation is ready to share her romance with the world.
Although the 27-year-old superstar has been reportedly been dating Alywn for close to a year, not much is known about the rising star. The 26-year-old actor, who hails from London, landed his first professional acting role in 2016. Alywn snagged the lead role in Ang Lee’s, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” and has been landing gigs ever since.
In 2018, Alwyn is expected to appear in “The Favourite,” starring Swift’s friend Emma Stone, as well as “Mary Queen of Scots” alongside Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie.
Aside from his blossoming acting career, sources told Us Weekly that Swift greatly admires her new beau and his strong relationship with his family. Alwyn still resides in London and is close to his mother, who is a psychotherapist, and his father, who is a documentary filmmaker.
Friends close to Swift revealed that the singer believes she has found “the one” and sees a future with her boyfriend. “She’s always said she wants a big family and she sees herself having kids with Joe down the line,” the insider said.
“Taylor really believes he’s the one for her,” the source continued.
Although Swift has made millions and has the luxury of going anywhere in the world, she and her beau prefer to hang out at her New York City apartment and have a “boring relationship.”
The “Gorgeous” singer and Alwyn reportedly enjoy watching movies, working out and just spending time together. “Taylor loves to cook and bake for him,” an insider stated.
Fans hoping to get a glimpse of the pop star and her beau may not have to wait for much longer, because Swift is reportedly planning to “come out of hiding,” and is thinking about doing it with Alwyn by her side.
Swift, who sources say will perform two songs from her album, “Reputation,” on “Saturday Night Live” this week, is considering having her boyfriend join her at the Europe Music Awards on Sunday in London.
“She wants to reveal their relationship when the time is right,” said the source, who explained Alwyn’s appearance is not guaranteed.
Although Swift is taking her time to introduce her boyfriend to the world, it seems like she has already decided that hiding her relationship is no longer an option ahead of the release for her sixth studio album. “Reputation” is scheduled to hit shelves Friday.
