Who Is John Janssen? 'RHOC' Star Shannon Beador's Boyfriend Had Messy Divorce

By now, it's pretty well known that Shannon Beador has a new boyfriend, John Janssen.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star made her relationship Instagram official back in July, and since their relationship is still pretty new, they are likely bonding over the many similarities and differences--one of which may be the fact that both went through bitter divorces.

Shannon, 55, filed to split from her ex, David Beador, in 2017 and only seemed to finalize things this year. Janssen's divorce, on the other hand, took more than twice the time. According to Radar Online, he filed for divorce in 2006, after over 18 years of marriage, but it was not finalized until 2011.

The outlet went on to explain the five-year-long battle apparently dragged on due to arguments surrounding his salary. Ultimately, Janssen was ordered to pay about $5,000 per month in support ($4,000 in child support for his three children -- two daughters, ages 15 and 12, and a 9-year-old son -- and $1,000 in spousal support).

Shannon also has three children of her own -- Sophie, 18 and 14-year-old twins Adeline and Stella -- making parenthood another thing the couple can bond over. The two also may share a connection when it comes to business.

The Bravo reality star's new beau is the President of Partner at Wood Gutmann & Bogart Insurance Brokers where he has worked for 20 years, according to his LinkedIn page.

"He is very successful and well-respected in Orange County," a source revealed of the 56-year-old.

As for if Janssen will make an appearance on "RHOC," the source confirmed he would not appear on Season 14, but that doesn't leave out any future seasons of the Bravo show.
