Who Is Mirella Ponce? 'Sexy' Felon’s Viral Mugshot Sparks Adoration

The internet has found its new "prison bae" after the mugshot of a "hot" felon named Mirella Ponce goes viral. The 20-year-old — a member of the Tiny Rascal Gang (TRG) — was arrested along with two other members inside a vehicle.

Ponce has been charged with carrying a concealed firearm and carrying a stolen firearm - both are felonies. Her bail has been set at $50,000 for each charge.

The Fresno Police Department shared information about her arrest, her mugshot photo, and a photo of the lilac colored handgun she allegedly had in her possession during the stop on their Facebook page.

Moments after Ponce's mugshot was shared by the police department social media users did not wait to label her a "hot" and "sexy" felon. Since being shared Wednesday, the police department's post with her mugshot has gone viral with nearly 4,000 shares and thousands of comments. The post received thousands of likes and comments.

“The only crime she committed was stealing my heart,” one user wrote. But another user took her crime seriously and said: “All about her looks and not about the child in the car or the fact she’s a gang member carrying a gun with other gang members.”

"What a shame though, she could of (sic) been a stripper or something with those good looks," another user wrote.

Some Facebook users also offered to pay her bail amount so that she can be out of jail.

"Ima (sic) just go bail her out. Free this hot gangster chick," one Facebook user commented on the post, according to the Daily Mail.

The group Ponce belongs to is a California based gang that is predominantly Cambodian-American and started its operation in the 1980s and now has an estimated 10,000 members across the country.

This is not the first time a felon's mugshot has gone viral. In 2014, Jeremy Meeks was arrested on firearm charges and grand theft. His subsequent mugshot went viral on social media and earned him a $30,000 modeling contract from Blaze Modelz in Santa Monica. He started his modeling career after being released from prison in September 2016. He became an internet sensation for his blue eyes and sharp jaw-line and was called “Felon Bae", "Prison Bae" and "Hot Felon."

In February, Meeka made his first major modeling debut in front of a packed audience for the Philipp Plein collection during New York Fashion Week at the New York Public Library. Meeks made his runway debut on day five of NYFW, wearing black pants, black boots, a black jacket and a black puffer coat with fur hood.
