Who Is Shahid Kapoor? Actor Beats Zayn Malik As Sexiest Asian Man 2017

After former One Direction singer turned solo artist Zayn Malik managed to top the list in both 2015 and 2016, the singer has been officially dethroned for the title of Sexiest Asian Man in 2017.

The honor has now been given to Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who tops the list for the first time. The list is made every year through a poll conducted by the weekly London newspaper, Eastern Eye. In addition to beating Malik, who dropped to third place this year, he also beat out actor Hrithik Roshan, as well as other actors, including Vivian D'sena, Ashish Sharma, Fawad Khan, Salman Khan, Gurmeet Choudary, Ranveer Singh and cricket player Virat Kohli.

He's Humbled By The Honor

After it was announced that he had topped the list, Kapoor quickly took to Twitter to thank all of his fans for the continued love and support they've given him, and even dedicated the win to them, saying nothing he did was possible without them.

He's An Accomplished Actor In Bollywood

Kapoor has been in the industry since 1997, earning his first big break in the 2003 film "Ishq Vishk." He has also since gone on to a variety of different roles in Bollywood films like "Jab We Met," "Kaminey," "Vivah," and "Badmaash Company." According to his IMDb page, Kapoor will also have roles in two films in 2018, "KHATA-Kaash Humse Na Hoti," and "Batti Gul Meter Chalu."

Kapoor has also won some awards for his work as well, including two International Indian Film Academy Awards, a Filmfare Award, a Screen Weekly Award and a Zee Cine Award in 2004 for "Ishq Vishk." He also won an Apsara Award, a Filmfare Award, and another Screen Weekly Award for 2014's "Halder."

He's Married

Kapoor married Mira Rajput in 2015, and the two have a daughter, Misha, together. The pair seem to be very happily in love based on Instagram photos they have both shared, including one in October, where Kapoor called his wife the "queen who rules my heart."
