The trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” sent Twitter abuzz Tuesday after the clip revealed Andy Serkis's Supreme Leader Snoke. People discussed the character, talking about its appearance and what the sith possibly knows about Rey and her power

One of the popular assumptions was the Snoke is a reincarnation of Mace Windu or Palpatine. Another theorized Snoke is a reborn Anakin. Some of the theories people conjured up have been shared below:

The trailer, which dropped Monday, includes important moments, like Rey training with Jedi master Skywalker. “I've seen this raw strength only once before,” he tells her, “...and it scared me enough then — it does now.”

Another moment that excited some fans was when Kylo Ren extends his hand to Rey. “I need someone to show me my place in all this,” she says. It could potentially be her transition to the dark side.

The film was the final appearance for Carrie Fisher, who famously played General Leia Organa. She died in December 2016.

Her dog, Gary the French bulldog, made waves on social media after he watched his mother in the “Last Jedi” trailer. A picture of him watching Fisher was posted to Gary’s official Instagram account Monday. “Just watched the new trailer of The Last Jedi and my mom looks more beautiful than ever. #garymisseshismom #garyloveshismom #garyloveshisfans #garyfisher #thelastjedi #starwars,” the caption read. The psot was liked more than 32,000 times by Gary’s 142,000 followers.

Director Rian Johnson previously spoke about Fisher’s role in “Last Jedi” earlier this year and how it might impact fans. “I think Carrie gives a really beautiful performance in the film and… we obviously didn’t make the movie to be her final film, final Star Wars movie,” he said. “Given that though, I think there are scenes that she has that are going to mean a lot to people. There are scenes that we have with her where now, not having her around, I watch them and … I’m really thankful that we have that and we can that to people.”

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is slated to premiere in theaters December 15.
