Lady Gaga and her longtime boyfriend Taylor Kinney got engaged, the singer announced on social media Monday. The 28-year-old shared the photograph of her heart-shaped engagement ring on her Instagram account.

"He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!" Lady Gaga captioned the photo.

The pop singer and her 33-year-old fiancé, who stars in NBC series “Chicago Fire,” reportedly met in 2011 at the set of her music video, “You and I,” which was shot in Nebraska, and later started dating. The two have rarely made public appearances together and have mostly kept their relationship private. The couple briefly split in May 2012 but later got back together the following month, according to US Weekly.

"When you meet someone that's not intimidated by the amazing people that are around you [or] by the love that you receive—that's love," Lady Gaga told Fashion magazine in 2013. "Men weren't always happy for me. It was very challenging to watch a woman be so successful."
