Like most relationships in Hollywood, Amanda Bynes' engagement didn't last long.

After a little over three weeks of being engaged, the 33-year-old and her now ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, have called it quits.

As for why the two decided to part ways, sources close to Bynes' family told TMZ that Michael was likely just a "rebound" for the former Nickelodeon star. She apparently had a boyfriend right before she got together with Michael.

Speculation that the couple had split was sparked by Bynes removing all traces of Michael from her Instagram page, which is where fans first became aware of their relationship. The two apparently met while in Alcoholics Anonymous classes.

The news was then confirmed by Michael who told InTouch, "We did [split]. I love her though, she’s my best friend."

In a since-deleted Valentine's Day Instagram post, Bynes announced her engagement and showed off a huge rock on her left-hand ring finger.

"Engaged to tha love of my life," the caption read.

Not that money equates to love, but as it turns out that massive rock didn't cost Michael very much. According to TMZ, the ring was purchased from Amazon and only set him back about $50, and, no, it was not a real diamond.

Break-ups can be pretty rough but luckily for the "She's The Man" actress, she has some upcoming business endeavors to focus on that could take her mind off of the failed relationship -- like her clothing line.

"Sup, Instagram. Just wanted to say hi to all of my followers. I really wanted to say I appreciate you guys so much for supporting me," Bynes said in an Instagram post last month. "I’m really looking forward to starting my clothing line and I’m hoping that in the near future it will be out online."

Bynes didn’t dish out any specifics about what type of clothing she plans to release, or the name, but according to documents obtained by The Blast, back in June 2019, she filed to trademark "Vintage By Amanda Bynes" for a variety of different products, including clothing, soaps, perfumes, and cosmetics.
