Why Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Are Rushing To Reach Divorce Settlement
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie started their divorce proceedings in 2016 and more than two years later, the estranged couple has yet to reach an amicable settlement. While they are still technically husband and wife, new rumors suggest the stars may be working together in order to legally bring their marriage to an end.
Pitt and Jolie, who share six kids together, have already managed to reach a custody arrangement. However, now that the divorce is becoming expensive, a report claims the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” stars are hoping a private getaway will help them reach a divorce settlement.
An alleged source reportedly told RadarOnline Pitt and Jolie believe taking their divorce negotiations to a more relaxing setting may help them end the process after spending “an absolute fortune in legal fees.”
“Now they’re going to try a brand new, relaxed setting outside of LA where they’ll have uninterrupted privacy and a long weekend to try and hash things out,” the mysterious tipster revealed.
Although the stars are going on vacation together, there is still no chance of a reconciliation. The supposed confidant claimed Jolie and Pitt will “have separate rooms” and “will probably keep their distance from each other in the evenings.”
Pitt and Jolie reached a custody arrangement in November 2018. At the time, a source told E! News Pitt was hoping the legal proceedings with his estranged wife would get easier moving forward.
“Brad is hoping the worst is behind them and that they can move on from the fighting and painful past. He knows, in the long run, the kids are best with both their mom and dad in the picture. He can now move forward and try to be a stable and constant positive influence in their lives,” the insider said.
Despite the rumors, neither Pitt nor Jolie have acknowledged reports claiming they plan on using a private getaway to discuss their divorce.
