Brody Jenner has admitted that he and ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari are "always going to have chemistry" as he dished on "The Hills: New Beginnings" Season 2.
The "Very Cavallari" star will be making a one-episode cameo in the second season of the MTV reboot, where she reunited with her former co-stars as well as her ex-boyfriend.
Cavallari, 34, and the now-37-year-old dated when she was a teenager after appearing in the MTV series "Laguna Beach," but Jenner told Entertainment Tonight that their "chemistry" is unlikely to ever go away.
"Kristin always comes with fire. You know that Kristin comes in blazing always," Jenner said of his reunion with Cavallari.
"I mean, Kristin and I, we have a past. Kristin and I have dated in the past. It was always going to have chemistry between Kristin and I. I love Kristin, she's great. You know, we get along, and she's a lot of fun, for sure," he continued.
Jenner's co-star, Spencer Pratt, also suggested that the exes could have rekindled their romance had they spent more time together, saying there was a lot of chemistry between Jenner and Cavallari when they came face-to-face during the filming of the show.
"I think if we had Kristin for, like, a month then, you know... some serious romances would've gone down," he told ET. "[Brody] said they were about to start making out on the rocks on the beach. I was like, 'What?' And so this was off camera, serious, and I was like, 'Maybe she should stay longer.'"
Cavallari and estranged husband Jay Cutler announced their split a year ago. Meanwhile, Jenner and his ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter split in 2019 after five years together.
It seems that Cavallari has kept in touch and remained amicable with her exes over the years. In August 2020, she also posted a photo with her high school sweetheart Stephen Colletti, who previously dated Cavallari during the pair's run on "Laguna Beach," on Instagram. She didn't say much in the caption and only wrote, "2004 or 2020?!"
Earlier this year, Cavallari also sparked reconciliation rumors with Culter after they both shared a photo of them together on their respective Instagram accounts with the same caption.
"The world is full of users. 10 years. Can't break that," they captioned the image.
Cavallari filed for divorce from Cutler shortly after they called it quits in April 2020 following seven years of marriage and a decade together. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as grounds for their divorce.
Cavallari also alleged that he "is guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper." She also denied that he "has always been the available at-home parent and primary caretaker" of their three children.
