Why Casey Affleck Skipped Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez's Wedding Celebration In Georgia

Ben Affleck's brother Casey Affleck was not present at the "Argo" director and Jennifer Lopez's big wedding celebration weekend in Georgia.

Casey was spotted on a Starbucks run in Los Angeles Saturday morning, just hours before his older brother was set to exchange vows with Lopez for the second time in Georgia, Page Six reported.

Paparazzi were surprised to see the younger Affleck in L.A. and not at his brother's Riceboro, Georgia, estate. "Why aren't you in Georgia right now, man?" one asked, according to the outlet.

Casey, 47, reportedly looked uncomfortable and mumbled an unintelligible response that sounded like, "I have other things," before driving away.

This was the second time Casey has been photographed going on an L.A. coffee run this week. He and his girlfriend Caylee Cowan were also snapped picking up coffee and doughnuts Thursday, a day before Ben and Lopez's three-day wedding celebration began.

Casey missed his brother's wedding in Georgia "unfortunately because of family, parental obligations at home," an unnamed source told People. He shares sons Indiana, 18, and 14-year-old Atticus with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.

But though Casey did not attend, Ben's longtime best friend Matt Damon was there to celebrate with him and Lopez. The "Martian" actor and his wife Luciana Barroso were spotted at an airfield near the "Justice League" star's Georgia estate Friday.

Also present during Saturday's ceremony were Kevin Smith and wife Jennifer, as well as "Clerks" star Jason Mewes and wife Jordan Monsanto. Top Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell and his wife, model/actress Pia Miller, were also in attendance, according to People.

Ben's three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 11, as well as Lopez's 14-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, Emme and Max, arrived in Georgia earlier this week for the bash.

On Friday, an unnamed source told People that Lopez and Ben "have an extraordinary weekend of celebrations planned" and "a pre-wedding party, a ceremony and lots of fun lined up."

According to the insider, the singer was "ecstatic" about their plans and their "kids will be part of the celebrations too. It will be a beautiful weekend."

Following the wedding ceremony Saturday, the celebrations will culminate with a barbecue and picnic Sunday, Page Six reported.

After they originally dated from 2002 to 2004, Ben and Lopez rekindled their romance last year and announced their engagement in April.

The couple tied the knot during an intimate ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16. An unnamed source told People at the time, "The Las Vegas ceremony was perfect. They both loved it. It was private and low-key. That's all they asked for."
