Why Chrissy Teigen Begged Joe Biden To Unfollow Her On Twitter

Chrissy Teigen hilariously urged President Joe Biden to unfollow her on Twitter Tuesday, claiming she couldn't "flourish" with the POTUS account seeing her posts on the platform.

The 35-year-old model was blocked by former President Donald Trump on Twitter in 2017 and gained a follow from Biden back in January, becoming the first celebrity to have done so.

However, she has now asked to "break up" with Biden's account, tweeting, "I have tweeted a handful of times since my treasured @POTUS following. In order for me to flourish as me, I must ask you to please lord unfollow me. I love you!!! It's not you it's me!!!!"

Soon after the request, the POTUS account took back its follow. Sharing her excitement, she wrote several expletives and ended it with, "I am FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Teigen's followers were amused by her request, with one user commenting, "Lol, I get it!"

"The principal watching you now sis," another posted, while a third user said, "Like knowing your grandparent is following you and they don’t know that you cuss."

Her tweet comes a month after the mother of two requested Biden to follow her on Twitter, posting, "hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz." She was blocked by Trump after trolling him and finally tweeting, "lol no one likes you," in July 2017.

Then Teigen, who has been an outspoken critic of Biden's predecessor, became the only person not connected with the White House to be followed by POTUS on Twitter. "my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president's tweets and they probably won't be unhinged," she tweeted.

She followed it up with another tweet saying: "I should prob never tweet again."

Meanwhile, Teigen is enjoying her "freedom" on Twitter.

After getting unfollowed by the POTUS account, which now only follows 12 accounts, she asked her 13.7 million followers, "Has anyone tried the Popeyes fried Cajun fish sandwich???? I need."

Taking the food talk forward, she posted a mouthwatering shot on Instagram and wrote: "HELLOOOOO gorgeous!! Pork tenderloin with fish sauce caramel is live on @cravingsbychrissyteigen."
