  • Erika Jayne was advised by her lawyers to quit "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"
  • Erika didn't listen to her legal counsel because the show is her primary source of income
  • Amid the controversy, the reality star asked her critics to listen to her side as well

Erika Jayne has no plans to quit her Bravo reality series even if her lawyers already advised her against doing the show.

In the first part of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" four-part reunion, Erika, 50, expressed her interest in returning for the next season. She admitted that her Bravo show is her primary source of income after she filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, in November 2020.

"Back then, when we were shooting the show, I was literally trying to survive. So now that we're here, yes — that has come more into consideration," she was quoted by People as saying.

She also addressed the petition of her critics asking for her to be fired from "RHOBH." She responded to them saying, "No, why should I be fired?"

Erika went on to ask why everyone has been assuming that she has done something. She encouraged them to let the legal process play out because they only heard one side so far. She then asked her critics to listen to her side too.

"Give me a chance to defend myself. Watch me. I'm ready for the challenge, watch me do it," Erika added.

Erika admitted that her lawyers advised her to leave the show. However, she refused their suggestion because she has "nothing to hide." Her legal counsel also warned her that things can be flipped and used against her.

At this point, Erika said she no longer cares. For her, everything can be twisted whether it's true or not, and it no longer matters to her.

Meanwhile, Jay Edelson, who represents the victims of the plane crash, said on the "Reality Life With Kate Casey" podcast Wednesday that the last season of "RHOBH" has been helpful to their case because "it's given us a lot of evidence."

He also slammed Erika for not changing her luxurious lifestyle after learning about her husband's case. According to Edelson, she was "tone deaf" and could have helped the families of the victims.

Erika is being sued for $25 million by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case involving her husband's law firm, Girardi Keese. The trustee alleged that the firm covered the expenses for her glam team, PR, assistant and credit card bills while they were married.
