Erika Jayne’s Salary: ‘RHOBH’ Star’s Pay Could Increase By Returning For Season 12
If Erika Jayne returns to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for Season 12, she could see a major salary increase.
A source told Us Weekly there’s “no question” that Jayne will “demand a higher paycheck” if she returns for the upcoming season of the Bravo reality show.
After sharing details about the $25 million lawsuit filed against her amid her husband Tom Girardi’s legal woes as well as being “put through the wringer and following producers’ orders,” Jayne is expected to be the “sole focus this season.”
The insider added, “It’s going to be much more next season.”
An exposé published by The New York Times last week revealed Jayne made $600,000 for “RHOBH” Season 11. Her legal drama reportedly brought in more viewers, and the network expects the same result if she returns to the cast.
“The ratings were off the charts because of her storyline and what she’s exposed,” the insider stated. “What she’s dealing with [regarding] Tom [Girardi] and the court is not over yet so you can only imagine what next season is going to bring.”
However, appearing on the show could work against Jayne seeing as Bravo has been subpoenaed for unaired “RHOBH” footage of the reality star.
Jay Edelson, an attorney who previously worked with Girardi, believes the unaired footage may help recover some of the money taken from the fund that was supposed to the family members of plane crash victims.
“We are very confident that Bravo has information that will be helpful in our efforts to recover client money stolen by Tom Girardi,” Edelson told Page Six.
“This includes unaired footage of Erika and Tom. And it includes documentary evidence, including contracts Erika entered into to be on the ‘Real Housewives’ and email and text correspondence with the Bravo team. We are hopeful that Bravo chooses a path of cooperation instead of using this tragedy to increase ratings and make a fortune for itself.”
Jayne’s legal team has continued to insist that she is not liable for the $25 million lawsuit. “I can’t say enough that based on the evidence and law, Erika does not have liability for any of the claims against her,” said Evan C. Borge, Jayne’s attorney.
“All the claims against Erika amount to efforts to blame her for the actions of others, including Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi.”
