Epic Games concluded its “Fortnite” Battle Royale Season 10 with a bang as the whole map is absorbed by a gigantic black hole. Potentially, the world destruction to make the next game map is what “Fortnite” needs to rejuvenate the whole game. This event could be what the game needs to further improve itself in the long run.

As seen on the official “Fortnite” Twitter, every post about any previous event, update, and loot has been wiped along with the disappearance of the game itself. Hopping onto “Fortnite” servers will only greet them with a small black hole and no games to be played. So far, this event has left millions of its playerbase with nothing to do about the game.

However, this event could revise the gameplay of "Fortnite" in the long run. Similarly, Square Enix’s MMORPG title, “Final Fantasy 14,” did with their game in its “A Realm Reborn” expansion. Prior to the update, the heroes of the story apparently failed to stop the world’s end but eventually ushered into a new realm with a fresh start. With this update, Square Enix was able to fix many of the game’s problems and the game has been steadily getting better as its update goes by. Epic Games could have followed with this idea and will reintroduce its Battle Royale in a better form.

Prior to the black hole event, the “Fortnite” Battle Royale was loved but it had its own problems for some players. The control for high vantage points and positions are always crucial in getting first place in matches.

Additionally, Epic Games introducing the gigantic B.R.U.T.E mech robot mounts in the Battle Royale was generally disliked by many of its players. While the mech is a huge target for many players to gang up on, the large robot could easily kill enemies in a few shots, crushes structures fast, and difficult to outmaneuver. While the B.R.U.T.E mech has already been nerfed, Epic Games needs to avoid introducing new content that's too gamebreaking for its players for the game's longterm health.

The black hole game could be a major reset for the game as Epic Games makes better decisions this time around.

Potentially, the next update after this black hole event could provide a fresher take on the “Fortnite’s” battle royale and make it more fun for both its seasoned players and newcomers to the fight.
