If you were looking forward to a new episode of “Arrow” tonight, then this news might be a bit disappointing.

The hit CW series will not be airing tonight because the network switched around its broadcast schedule this week, and its latest new episode aired this past Monday night instead.

The reason for this change was to accommodate the four-show crossover event, “Crisis on Earth-X,” with “Supergirl,” “Arrow,” “The Flash” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.”

With the “Arrow” part of the crossover airing on Monday night after “Supergirl,” it allowed for the event to take place over two nights instead of three, and also prevented the flow from breaking up due to the usual Wednesday block of superhero-less programming.

The scheduling for “Arrow” will go back to normal next week, just in time for its Season 6 midseason finale. The show will air during its normal time slot of Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST.

Don’t expect things to slow down much on the show after the craziness of the four-part crossover, though.

In the upcoming new episode, according to the official synopsis, “Quentin Lance is kidnapped by Black Siren and Cayden James, who are looking to trade Lance’s life for a weapon of mass destruction.”

With the kidnapping, Oliver and his team will have to work to figure out a way to save Lance while still keeping the city safe.

After this new episode, titled “Irreconcilable Differences,” fans of the superhero series will have to wait a few more weeks for another one as the show will be on hiatus and won’t return with the second half of its sixth season until Jan. 18.

While this “Arrow” episode won’t be on until next week, there are still options to watch on The CW tonight.

“Supernatural” will be airing a new Season 13 episode during its regular time tonight at 8 p.m. EST, while the season finale of “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” will air during the usual “Arrow” time slot.
