Why Isn’t ‘Law And Order: SVU’ On Tonight? Season 20 Return Date Revealed
After working hard to catch criminals, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” is taking some time off to rest up before doing it all again in a few weeks.
The long-running NBC drama isn’t airing a new episode tonight, after premiering its Season 20 mid-season finale last week, but it’ll be back with episode 11 of the season on Jan. 10.
In the meantime, fans can still catch “Law & Order: SVU” later today, but it’ll be an episode from earlier this season, called “Zero Tolerance.”
“After the rescue of a young girl from a sex trafficker, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stone (Philip Winchester) must take drastic measures to reunite her with her mother,” according to the synopsis of episode 3 of the season, which is reairing tonight. “Meanwhile, Rollins (Kelli Giddish) decides to give her rocky relationship another chance.”
The cast also includes Ice T (Sgt. Fin Tutuola) and Peter Scanavino (Det. Sonny Carisi), with George Newbern (Dr. Al Pollack), Carl Weathers (SA Mark Jefferies), Scarlett Lopez (Gabriela Sosa) and Andy Powers (Jeff Phelps) guest-starring in the rerun episode.
“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” Season 20 returns on Jan. 10 on NBC at 10 p.m. EST.
