Why Isn’t ‘Mistresses’ On Tonight? Season 4 Of ABC Drama Goes On Hiatus For NBA Finals
Just as the drama begins to heat up on Season 4 of “Mistresses,” the hit ABC series will cool things down by taking a week-long hiatus. That means fans of the sizzling, summer sudser will have to wait another week before finding out what happens when Karen’s easy-on-the-eyes manny oversteps his boundaries.
The ABC lineup will get shaken up on Monday, June 13, when the network bumps “Mistresses,” which typically airs at 10 p.m. EDT, for game five of the NBA Finals. The basketball game, featuring the Cavaliers vs. the Warriors, will air live starting at 9 p.m. EDT and run until 11:30 p.m. EDT. The normal “Mistresses” schedule will then resume on Monday, June 20, when the show returns with episode 3, titled “Under Pressure.”
According to the synopsis for the upcoming installment, Harry’s (Brett Tucker) sister Kate (Tabrett Bethell) will continue her serial dating in hopes of finding a soul mate. In episode 2, the Aussie darling revealed she had called off her wedding following her fiancé’s jaw-dropping affair. She then decided to stay in Los Angeles — instead of returning home to Australia — hoping to find her one true love. But it looks like Kate’s quest for a lifelong partner will be “harder than she expected.”
Kate won’t be the only single stunner having issues in the romance department. The promo video for the forthcoming drama teases that issues will begin to arise between Karen (Yunjin Kim) and her manny/lover Robert (Jerry O’Connell) in episode 3. Robert’s role in Karen’s life will begin to get blurred when he starts to blend his duties as his employer and status as Karen’s lover, causing the sexpert to regret her decision to mix business with pleasure.
Meanwhile, Joss (Jes Macallan) will try to figure out how to move forward following last season’s traumatic events as April (Rochelle Aytes) gets help from Marc (Rob Mayes) uncovering what her passion is.
“Mistresses” will return to ABC on Monday, June 20, at 10 p.m. EDT.
