Why Isn’t ‘Riverdale’ On Tonight? Season 3, Episode 9 Release Date Revealed
The CW is not airing a new episode of “Riverdale” tonight and will instead broadcast the Christmas special “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” in its place.
Season 3 of the Archie Comics drama returns on Jan. 16 with episode 9, tentatively titled “No Exit.” Although there’s no synopsis yet for it, the promo trailer shows Archie (KJ Apa) going after Hiram (Mark Consuelos), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Reggie (Charles Melton) getting pretty close and so much more.
Before “Riverdale” comes back a few weeks into 2019, here’s a reminder of what went down in the Season 3 fall finale:
“On the road and running out of places to stay, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Archie head to Toledo to visit Jughead’s mother Gladys (guest star Gina Gershon) and sister Jellybean (guest star Trinity Likins),” according to the synopsis. “Back in Riverdale, Betty (Lili Reinhart) inches closer to uncovering the truth about Griffins & Gargoyles, while Veronica and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) take on Hiram, Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) and Penelope (guest star Nathalie Boltt) after more students fall victim to seizures.”
Find out what happens next when “Riverdale” Season 3 returns on Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
