Why Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson Split After 9 Months Of Dating
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson are no longer together, according to reports.
The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum and the "King of Staten Island" actor called it quits earlier this week after nine months of dating, unnamed insiders confirmed to Page Six.
"Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends," one source close to Kardashian told the outlet. "They have a lot of love and respect for each other but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship."
Their age difference reportedly also contributed to the breakup, a second source told Page Six. Kardashian is 41 and a mom of four. She shares North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with ex-husband Kanye West.
In addition to co-parenting with the rapper in Los Angeles, the reality star has also been busy running multiple businesses and working on her family's Hulu reality series "The Kardashians," while Davidson, 28, has been spending much of his time filming his new movie project in Australia in recent weeks.
According to another source cited by Page Six, Kardashian and the "Saturday Night Live" alum are "just in very different places at the moment."
"Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment's notice," the third source told the outlet. "But Kim has four kids, and it isn't that easy. She needs to focus on the kids."
Kardashian was "totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life," the tipster claimed, adding that the Skims founder is a "dedicated mother and her kids will always come first."
The two stars have not publicly addressed the split news.
The reported breakup comes just weeks after Kardashian was photographed arriving at Cairns Airport in Queensland, Australia, where Davidson is shooting "Wizards!" alongside Orlando Bloom.
"They both have busy schedules at the moment, but are still making time to be together," an anonymous source told Us Weekly on July 22. "They're very much enjoying spending time together."
Kardashian and Davidson's romance began after she made her "Saturday Night Live" debut in early October 2021. Shortly after, the two were seen holding hands on a roller coaster before going on various dates in New York City.
Multiple outlets confirmed in mid-November last year that the two were officially a couple, but it wasn't until March that Kardashian made their relationship Instagram official.
In an episode of "The Kardashians" that aired in June, the beauty mogul admitted to making the first move on Davidson because he did not "give [her] the time of day." She even asked for his number from an "SNL" producer.
"Pete has got to be literally the best human being I've ever met, like the best heart," Kardashian gushed in a confessional.
Meanwhile, the comedian opened up about his desire to be a dad last month.
"[I'm] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I've yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid," he said on Peacock's "Hart to Heart."
Davidson is expected to appear in the upcoming second season of "The Kardashians" as he was featured in the trailer that dropped last month.
