Liam Hemsworth's wife Miley Cyrus rocked the Grammys 2019 stage on Sunday, but unfortunately, the "Hunger Games" star could not attend and cheer her on.

Hemsworth's "Isn't It Romantic" co-star Rebel Wilson, 38, recently revealed why the actor, 29, couldn't attend the Grammys and was also unable to join the promotion for their new film. The Australian actress told "Extra" that Hemsworth had been hospitalized, though she didn't reveal the reason why he had to stay in the hospital overnight.

“He’s texted us this morning. He was in hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine,” Wilson said on Sunday.

This was likely the reason why Hemsworth's new wife, Cyrus, attended the 2019 Grammys with her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, as her dates. The trio was photographed walking the red carpet and posing for the cameras together before the start of the ceremony.

For her red carpet look, Cyrus donned a gorgeous black Mugler suit, but kicked it up a notch by ditching the shirt and going braless. Meanwhile, her mom sparkled on the red carpet in her metallic gown, while Billy Ray went for a more casual look in a t-shirt, black leather jacket, jeans, brown boots and a cowboy hat.

Meanwhile, Cyrus performed with Shawn Mendes at the 2019 Grammys, singing his hit song, "In My Blood." Prior to this, the two also took the stage together on Friday at the MusiCares gala, which honored Dolly Parton.

Last week, Cyrus revealed that she had been the one to reach out to Mendes to perform together at the gala, where they sang "Islands in the Stream." She told Variety that she contacted Mendes through Instagram DMs.

“I actually sent him a DM and said, ‘I don’t know what you’re trying to do next,’ because I’ve actually been in his position in his career, too, before, where you’re someone who I think is trying to fit into pop music and you want to be played on pop music, but you don’t want to be conformist and you want to do your own thing,” the singer said. “I love the way that he always kind of plays alternative pop because it’s something that I love to do.”
