Why Rumer Willis Should Win ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 20: Will Val Chmerkovskiy Snag Mirrorball?
It’s come down to the final three: Rumer Willis, Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway. For “Dancing With the Stars” fans, Season 20 of the hit ABC show has been one of the most exciting. While each of the final three competitors are amazing and deserve to be there, there can only be one winner. We think it should be Willis.
Before “DWTS,” Willis, the oldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, was famous only because she was their child. She had minor success in Hollywood, appearing in several films, most notably playing a sorority sister in 2008's “The House Bunny.” With her stint on “DWTS,” she has distinguished herself as an individual.
From her stellar opening performance in Week 1, to her "Black Swan" re-creation, Willis and professional dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy have never failed to impress. The partners have a fiery connection, and it could be because they have something in common. Chmerkovskiy knows what it's likes to be in someone’s shadow as the younger brother of Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Unlike his brother-- who took home the top prize with 2014 Sochi Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis -- Val has never won a Mirrorball Trophy despite making it to the finals three times.
Part of what has made “DWTS” a successful show is the journey. Each contestant, especially those who make it to the final, show a progression. Usually, it’s their dances that improve. But with Willis, she has expressed multiple times how the show has helped build her confidence. She has flourished into a beautiful woman, and the days of Internet trolls labeling her an ugly duckling are now a thing of the past.
To find out who takes home the top honors, tune in to “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EDT. Good luck to Rumer and Val!
