This Is Why ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Maci Bookout Doesn't Post Baby Maverick Photos

Rumors have been rampant for years that the stars of MTV’s “Teen Mom” franchise are asked to keep life updates under wraps for the sake of the show, but that’s not the reason why “OG” lead Maci Bookout hasn’t share photos of her new baby boy.

The 25-year-old reality star recently told WetPaint that the reason fans have yet to see her post a photo of her 2-month-old son Maverick is because she and fiancé Taylor McKinney simply don’t want to. “There’s really no specific reason why we haven’t yet,” Maci said, as was reported by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “I think we both kinda just like being spiteful and like making people wait.”

Maci went on to reveal she’s unsure when she and Taylor will release their baby’s first photo, but luckily for fans, they can get a sneak peek of Maverick Reed on Instagram. Maci’s mom, Sharon Bookout, shared a candid snap of the infant late last month. “Hands and hearts are full,” she captioned the photo, which showed her holding onto her new grandson. The image also featured Maci and Taylor’s 1-year-old daughter Jayde.

While it is hard to tell who little Maverick takes after in Sharon’s snap, Maci gave a “hint” to WetPaint that he resembles her and her 7-year-old son Bentley, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Ryan Edwards. “He actually looks pretty identical to Bentley,” she said.

It’s unclear if “Teen Mom OG” viewers will get a good glimpse of Maverick during Season 6. The trailer for the new episodes only shows Maci taking a pregnancy test and being shocked to learn she’s expecting baby No. 3. I guess fans will have to wait and see!
