Why Teresa Giudice's Eldest Daughter Gia Almost Missed Her Wedding

Teresa Giudice's four daughters became her bridesmaids on her wedding day, but her eldest child, Gia, almost did not make it to the ceremony.

Teresa, 50, and Luis "Louie" Ruelas, 47, tied the knot at the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey, on Saturday. The bride's daughters with her ex-husband Joe Giudice, 50, were expected to be there since they had important roles during the nuptials.

However, Gia, the eldest of the four at 21 years old, barely made it to the event. She recently revealed on social media why she almost missed her mom's wedding.

On Sunday, Gia shared a series of photos from her recent trip to Nashville. Two of the snaps showed her attending a party. One of the photos even showed her offering a drink to the camera.

"Raise your hand if you almost got stuck in Nashville," she wrote in the caption.

Gia was in the capital city of Tennessee the day before her mom's wedding because she attended her cousin Miranda's 21st birthday, according to Bravo TV.

Fortunately, she made it to her flight and got to join her sisters Gabriella, 17, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12, and fulfill their duties as Teresa's bridesmaids.

Their dad, Joe, shared a lovely photo of the four girls donning similar gowns as they expressed their well-wishes for the couple at the reception.

Joe remains barred from entering the U.S. after he got deported to his home country, Italy, in 2019. In an exclusive interview with People, he maintained that he was "very happy" for his ex-wife.

Teresa's wedding was filmed for a Bravo special. Among the guests who showed up at the big event were her "Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-stars Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider.

Her other pals from the "Real Housewives" franchise also showed up, including Chanel Ayan, Alexia Nepola, Ashley Darby, Dorinda Medley, Jill Zarin, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey.

Unfortunately, Dina Manzo, one of Teresa's closest pals, opted not to attend her wedding. An unnamed tipster previously said that Dina did not want to be filmed, and Teresa was fine with her skipping it.

Meanwhile, the bride's brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa also skipped the event. No explanation was given, but their absence notably came after the two had an argument with Teresa and Luis while filming "RHONJ" Season 13.
