Wife Beats Husband With Belt After Catching Him Watching Porn, Masturbating

A Florida woman hit her husband with a belt several times after she caught him "watching pornography on his cell phone and masturbating," police documents said.

Angela Davis, 30, was arrested Tuesday morning following several altercations with her 51-year-old husband at their home in Summerfield, Marion County, the Smoking Gun reported, citing a probable cause affidavit.

Davis had discovered her partner watching porn on his phone and masturbating on the morning of May 10, which caused her to become "angry," the victim claimed.

After the discovery, Davis asked to see her husband's phone, a request that he complied with, but another verbal altercation ensued after she found "some sort of communication between the victim and someone on the website Reddit," police said.

Davis allegedly followed her partner as he attempted to go to work that day, according to the affidavit.

A "verbal disturbance" between the two then occurred when they arrived home, which led to Davis allegedly knocking out her husband's phone from his hands as he was attempting to call 911.

During the encounter, Davis also hit her partner several times on the arms and back with a leather belt that had "a large metal buckle," the victim told police.

Davis' husband was able to call authorities and flee. A responding officer observed "several red marks across the back of the victim as well as a large raised red lump that was swollen and starting to bruise on the victim's left upper arm," documents showed.

The lump "had very good detail" and appeared to be that of a "buckle of a belt," something that Davis had in her possession at the time, the officer noted.

Upon being interviewed, Davis admitted that she became "upset" when she found her husband watching pornography on his phone and masturbating, but she claimed she hit the victim "to protect herself" during a short struggle with him, according to police.

Davis also denied following her husband after their initial altercation on the morning of May 10 and claimed she never knocked his phone out of his hands.

However, Davis was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and witness tampering, both felonies, after she was determined to be the "primary aggressor" based on "evidence on scene and statements by both parties," the affidavit read.

She was freed from Marion County jail after posting $1,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 14.
