Will The 24th James Bond Film Be Based On Novel ‘Devil May Care’?
Rumors continue to be shaken and stirred about the details of the 24th James Bond film. In the Sun latest update about the movie, the U.K. newspaper reported the “Skyfall” follow-up will be based on the Sebastian Faulks novel “Devil May Care.”
The book was released in 2008 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bond creator Ian Fleming’s birthday. It is set in 1967 and was written as a sequel to “The Man with the Golden Gun.” In it, Bond battles a ruthless chemist named Dr. Julius Gorner.
“Skyfall” director Sam Mendes and screenwriter John Logan will both serve in similar capacities on the new production, Digital Spy reported. And, of course, Daniel Craig will return as James Bond. “Skyfall” raked in $1.1 billion worldwide and won two Oscars.
“I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time,” Mendes said.
Sony Pictures has scheduled the film for U.S. release on Nov. 6, 2015.
