Will Prince Andrew Still Walk Princess Beatrice Down The Aisle?
Princess Beatrice has not set a wedding date yet, but one thing is for sure, Prince Andrew will walk her down the aisle.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that he is “utterly devoted” to his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and is putting on a “brave face” despite being allegedly connected to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The royal family wants Beatrice to “have the wedding of her dreams” and because of her father’s involvement with Epstein, it is not a good time.
The source added that there are not a lot of details out about the wedding. Her family does not want any of the scandal to intertwine with Beatrice and her special day.
“They love him; he’s family,” the source said before adding that they are still “very disappointed” in his behavior.
Beatrice was supposed to have her engagement party at the Chiltern Firehouse in London on Wednesday but that was reportedly canceled in early December.
When asked to speak if the canceled engagement party was true, a rep for the Buckingham Palace said, “This would be a private matter and we would not comment on it.”
“Everyone right now is concerned about Bea,” a source told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “Poor Bea. She deserves to have the wedding she wants and the public is going to go nuts [because of her father].”
Andrew recently stepped down from his royal duties after a televised interview with the BBC where he talked about his role in the Epstein case.
“It has become clear to me that over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in many organization and charities that I am proud to support,” he said. “I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein. His suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims, and I deeply sympathize with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure.”
