Will Smith and Martin Lawrence recently transformed themselves into the iconic characters of Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett as they celebrated 26 years of "Bad Boys."

Smith, 52, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video featuring him and Lawrence, 55. In the video, Smith wore his signature sunglasses, while Lawrence put a police badge around their neck. The duo pose as a CGI explosion goes off behind them, and the present day actors are replaced by their younger selves as "I'm Just A Kid" plays in the background.

"When we say FOR LIFE we mean it. Bad Boys came out 26 years ago today! @martinlawrence," Smith captioned the video.

The video received 37.3 million views on Instagram, which is the highest compared to other reels Smith has recently posted on his Instagram.

On the other hand, Lawrence made his Instagram Reels debut by posting the same video and captioning it: "Today marks 26 years and we STILL riding strong! Bad Boys for life! #teammartymar @willsmith @westbrook."

The movie was originally released in 1995. Smith and Lawrence reprised their detective characters in "Bad Boys II," which was released in 2003. The on-screen cop buddies were again seen together in the third installment, "Bad Boys For Life," which came out in 2020.

The third installment of the franchise received Outstanding Motion Picture at the 52nd NAACP Image Awards in March. During the acceptance speech, the actors hinted there might be a fourth installment to this action franchise.

"We hopefully we we we're gonna try to get one more you know you guys seem to like that so we're gonna try to get one more one more one more before we be the sad boys," Smith said.

Among Smith's other upcoming projects, the most-anticipated would have to be the movie "King Richard," which is slated to release on Nov. 8. The movie follows the journey of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams, who were coached by their father, Richard Williams.

Saniyya Sidney portrayed Venus' role, while Demi Singleton played Serena's character. Smith will be seen in Richard's character. The actor also hosted the Netflix documentary series, "Amend: The Fight For America," which released on Feb. 17.

Besides on-screen work, Smith also serves as an executive producer for the "Cobra Kai" franchise.
