USA Network’s “Suits” spinoff series, “Pearson,” ends its first season on Wednesday night with its big finale episode.

Unfortunately for fans of the show, the network’s still unsure on whether or not it’ll continue the story afterward.

“Pearson” has yet to be renewed for Season 2, but it also hasn’t been canceled. That means there’s still hope, especially since USA will be down one summer show when “Suits” ends next week with its series finale.

That said, the ratings for the Gina Torres-led series aren’t giving USA much of a reason to renew it. Ahead of the Season 1 finale, “Pearson” is averaging just a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and getting only 516,000 weekly viewers, according to TV Series Finale.

With those numbers, the show is the lowest-rated one currently airing or recently ended on the network, sitting below even “Shooter,” which was canceled around this time last year.

While fans wait to find out the fate of the show, its cast is preparing for tonight’s season finale with notes of excitement about the episode and hopes for the show’s future.

“This was a real family affair and I hope we get to do it some more,” star Bethany Joy Lenz (Keri) tweeted. “Tune in tonight for the Season Finale of #PEARSON.”

“What a complete blast and privilege it has been to bring #Pearson to you all,” Torres (Jessica) wrote on Instagram.

Eli Goree (Derrick) shared on social media, “#Bittersweet @pearson_usa season finale tonight!!! 10/9c. What a journey, so proud of this show.”

Catch all the excitement when the Season 1 finale of “Pearson” airs on USA Network on Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT.
